Biscuit Packing Machine: Stacks, Trays, Bags and Prices

For fixed stacks or on-edge packs, choose a biscuit packing machine with counting, arranging and flow wrapping. Fragile cookies can use a supporting tray with an outer film pack. Loose mini cookies sold by net weight need gentle weighing and bagging.

Indicative budgets start at USD 5,000 to 25,000 for a compatible manual-feed flow wrapper, USD 25,000 to 85,000 for a counted-stack or on-edge wrapping combination, and USD 18,000 to 50,000 for loose-cookie weighing with VFFS bagging. Comwin matches the feeding and portioning method to your biscuits, pack and output.

Choose counted stacks, supported cookies or net-weight bags

Decide whether the customer buys an exact piece count, a protected arrangement or a net weight. Then check how much contact the biscuit can tolerate. A weighing system can produce the required net weight while the number of pieces changes. A counter can provide ten pieces while their combined weight changes. State both acceptance requirements if your pack must satisfy both.

Show the arrangement, not just the biscuit count

For a counted pack, send the intended arrangement as well as the number of biscuits. A flat stack and an on-edge row present different group dimensions and support needs at the wrapper infeed. Comwin selects the counting/grouping guides and product support around that arrangement, then matches the film former and cut position. Thickness variation changes the group length or height, so those parts must cover the selected production range. A photograph of ten loose biscuits does not define the feeding task.

Product and retail portionRecommended equipment and workChange condition
Single cookie or manually arranged biscuits; short ordersManual feeding with biscuit flow wrapping. Operators arrange the portion; the wrapper forms and seals the film pack.Add counting or arrangement when manual grouping becomes the bottleneck.
Exact piece count with a stack or on-edge arrangementCounted stacks or on-edge biscuit wrapping: organize, count and group the biscuits, then synchronize the group with a flow wrapper.Change guides and loading when diameter, thickness or fragility prevents a stable group.
Large, crumbly or irregular cookiesTray-supported cookie flow wrapping. Load gently into a compatible tray, then wrap the tray and cookies.Use a loose bag only if the product can tolerate the handling and the retail presentation allows it.
Loose mini cookies sold by weightGentle weighing and bagging. Use VFFS for roll-film bags or a premade-pouch system for the chosen ready-made bag.If exact piece count or a fixed arrangement is required, add the appropriate counting/arranging task.
Horizontal flow wrapping machine
Horizontal flow-wrapping platform. Feeding, support and sealing configuration are matched to the selected product and film.

A cookie packaging machine or biscuit wrapping machine still needs a defined portion, support and bag structure. For sealed film packs, our horizontal flow-wrapping equipment is the relevant starting family. Premade bags use a different pouch-handling configuration.

Prevent broken biscuits, missing pieces and contaminated seals

Problem and causeConfiguration responseTrial check
Pieces are missing or stacks lean; counting and spacing lose synchronization.Match grouping, stack support and infeed timing, with a response to gaps and stops.Count every trial pack and inspect arrangement through starts and restarts.
Biscuits break or crumbs enter the seal; dropping, pushing or cutting contact is excessive.Reduce unsuitable transfer contact, add support where needed and keep product clear of the sealing zone.Compare incoming and packed condition; inspect corner damage, crumbs and seals.
Small format changes cause repeated adjustment; size changes affect several parts.List guides, grouping parts, former and seal settings for each approved format.Time a real change, including adjustment, cleaning and the first acceptable packs.
A correct net weight is mistaken for an exact count.Choose the measuring method from the sales requirement and verify count separately when necessary.Record weight and piece count as separate acceptance results.

Use the same inspection method before and after packing. If you judge breakage by visible fragments, define which fragments count and inspect a comparable sample. Keep sampling consistent when you compare handling.

Example: ten round biscuits in an on-edge pack

Use ten pieces as an illustrative retail requirement. Start with counting and arranging equipment connected to a suitable wrapper. Check the thinnest and thickest biscuits in the production range because a ten-piece group can change length. Inspect group stability and cut position during interruptions. At an assumed 60 good packs per minute, the feeder must supply 600 correctly arranged biscuits per minute. This calculation defines the feeder task. Confirm capacity with the selected machine and product. If the biscuits cannot tolerate the arranging contact, revise support and presentation before raising speed.

Example: mini cookies in a 200 g retail bag

For this planning example, the sales portion is weight and the cookies remain loose. Begin with gentle feeding, weighing and a bagger matched to the chosen film bag or premade pouch. Assess the transfer from the scale to the bag with actual cookies, then inspect breakage and the loaded bag mouth. If the outlet demands a zipper pouch, specify that pouch and opening/closing task. If the outlet instead demands ten cookies in a row, the portioning and handling task changes to counting and arranging.

Biscuit packing machine price and scope

The following indicative USD budgets are for new equipment supplied from China in October 2026, ordinary non-aseptic food and one selected product/format. Freight, taxes, overseas installation, baking, site work and extra formats are excluded. Gas generation, inspection and downstream packaging require a separate scope unless listed. A project quotation follows sample and material selection.

Equipment scopeIndicative budget, USDIncluded and excluded work
Manual-feed compatible flow wrapper5,000 to 25,000One single-cookie or manually arranged pack; excludes automatic counting, stacking and upstream biscuit production.
Counting/stacking or on-edge feeding plus flow wrapping25,000 to 85,000One biscuit, count and bag format with matched arranging and wrapping; excludes complex mixed recipes, upstream baking and inspection.
Loose-cookie weighing plus VFFS18,000 to 50,000Gentle feeding, suitable weighing and one roll-film bag format; excludes higher-spec weighing, gas supply and inspection.
Loose-cookie weighing plus premade-pouch packing25,000 to 65,000Basic feeding, suitable weighing and handling of one pouch format; special zipper tasks, extra formats and downstream work are additional.
Tray handling and flow wrapping18,000 to 65,000Basic handling and wrapping for one product/tray/bag format; excludes tray manufacture, complex multilane tray loading and inspection.

For a small cookie packaging machine, retain manual feeding if it fits the order pattern and operator workload. A manual biscuit packing machine can form and seal film automatically while operators portion and feed the biscuits. Specify the manual steps.

Optional retail cartons after primary wrapping

For a gift selection, decide how many finished biscuit packs enter each carton, their orientation and any dividers. Primary wrapping and retail cartoning are separate operations. A retail carton does not replace a transport case, and the flow-wrapper budget does not include the cartoner.

For early budgeting, allow USD 25,000 to 80,000 as the retail-cartoner equipment-family reference. Select the actual pack feeding, carton and any inserts before quoting the configuration. This optional amount excludes primary wrapping and transport-case packing; the general budget exclusions also apply.

Biscuit packing questions

Can a weighing machine guarantee ten biscuits per pack?

For ten-piece packs, specify counting. If the pack also has a weight requirement, check that separately from the count.

Should loose cookies use VFFS or premade pouches?

For a roll-film bag, start with suitable weighing and VFFS. For a selected ready-made pouch, start with pouch handling and suitable weighing. Compare material cost and good output using the intended bag and actual cookie fragility.

Can a standard wrapper run small bakery orders?

When product shape, film and manual feeding fit the selected configuration, a compatible wrapper can be the starting point. Add counting or automatic feeding when the measured bottleneck requires it.

Does an automatic biscuit packing machine include cartoning?

When retail cartons are required, specify pack count, orientation and inserts and list the cartoning operation in the quotation. Transport-case packing is another operation.
