Curd Cup Sealing Machines: Filling, Lids and Prices

Quick answer

A curd cup sealing machine may close filled cups or combine cup feeding, dosing and foil sealing. Confirm whether curd sets in the cup or is filled after fermentation, then match the filler, cup rim and lid. Cup filling-and-sealing budgets should not be taken from bottle machine prices.

Indicative budgets are USD 1,000–5,000 for sealing pre-filled cups, USD 12,000–35,000 for compact automatic fill/seal and USD 35,000–90,000 for multi-row fill/seal.

A curd cup sealing machine can mean a lid-sealing station or an integrated filling-and-sealing machine. Comwin determines the required operations from your product process, cup and output, then matches the filling and lid system.

Seal already-filled curd cups

A sealing station does not dose curd or necessarily denest cups. Match the cup flange, lid sealant and heating/pressure window. If automatic filling is also required, quote a complete cup filling-and-sealing system.

Compact automatic curd cup filling and sealing

Choose the product path for the actual dairy consistency, including fruit particles where relevant. Automatic cup supply and seal alignment must work with the real cup stack and flange. Overcaps, coding and discharge handling are separate items when required.

Multi-row linear cup filling and sealing

Additional rows increase handling and distribution requirements. Check fill consistency across positions, lid registration, cleaning access and downstream collection. Compare sustained accepted cups rather than multiplying a nominal station rate.

Packaging problems and the configuration to check

Problem, cause and corrective configuration
ProblemLikely mechanism to investigateConfiguration and confirmation check
Foil lids lift or leakA dirty flange, wrinkles or incompatible seal layer disrupts bonding.Keep product clear of the flange and trial actual cups/lids over a controlled sealing window; inspect after chilling and handling.
The curd texture is damagedThe filling operation is placed at the wrong process stage or uses unsuitable shear.Separate set-in-cup and stirred-yogurt processes; match the product path to the state actually entering the filler.
Fruit or thick product blocks the fillerPassages and cutoff were selected for a thinner product.Test the largest inclusions and thickest recipe; inspect dose repeatability and inclusion integrity.
Automatic cups or lids misfeedStack, flange, lid position or registration is inconsistent.Test actual packaging batches with the denester and lidding system; do not infer compatibility from diameter alone.

Set curd and stirred yogurt need different process interfaces

For set curd, the agreed process commonly places filling and sealing before in-cup incubation and cooling. For stirred yogurt, fermentation and mixing occur before packaging; the actual cooling and filling sequence follows the food process. Comwin coordinates equipment interfaces around that sequence. The cup machine itself does not define the culture recipe, fermentation curve or shelf life.

Cup-sealer, complete cup filler and multi-row system prices are different. Milk-bottle equipment budgets cannot be substituted for cup filling and lidding.

Curd Cup Sealing Machine Price: Indicative Equipment Budget

Use these USD ranges for preliminary equipment planning as of October 2026. They describe alternative configurations, not a package of all the listed machines. They are not a formal quotation or a verified market average.

Indicative equipment budgets in USD
Equipment scopePlanning rangeAssumptions and boundaries
Sealer for already-filled cupsUSD 1,000–5,000One cup/lid format; manual pre-filled-cup loading; no milk/curd filler.
Compact automatic curd cup fill/sealUSD 12,000–35,000One cup/lid format, cup handling, dosing and sealing; ordinary non-aseptic chilled-dairy project.
Multi-row linear cup fill/sealUSD 35,000–90,000Defined multi-row cup handling, dosing and sealing; output and cleaning scope still require agreement.

Assume a new China-export supply, one agreed packaging format and the ordinary product conditions stated above. Confirm the delivery term and included commissioning in the written quote. Freight, taxes, overseas installation, factory utilities, upstream food or water processing, cold-chain equipment, extra formats/tooling, inspection, labeling and downstream packing are excluded unless expressly included. Heating, cleaning or special-hygiene functions require a defined scope. A broader range does not mean every configuration includes its upper-end features.

Compare offers at the same fill size, product condition, package material, good-pack output and acceptance criteria. Ask for the included functions, change parts, consumables and interfaces alongside the price. Do not add alternative route budgets together.

Compare the work the equipment actually automates

Automation comparison in four operating dimensions
DimensionAssisted or batch operationRepeated automatic operation
Production modeManually filled cups needing a sealing stationAutomatic cup feed, dose and lidding/sealing
People and replenishmentFill/present cups and manage the agreed lid operation.Replenish cups/lids/product, inspect rims and collect accepted packs.
Format and product changesKeep the actual setup work visible: Cup nests, lid handling and seal settings.Agree change parts, setup access and a repeatable cleaning/restart sequence.
AcceptanceUse the same product and packaging quality criteria.Check complete lids, clean flanges, net fill if included and run output.

Set the required good packs per shift before choosing a quoted speed. Deduct planned cleaning, format changes and replenishment from production time, and include rejected packs. A short demonstration at nominal speed does not establish sustained accepted output.

What to compare in a supplier proposal

Budget and supply scopeAn itemized offer for sealer for already-filled cups or your selected alternative.Same package, product conditions, included operations, delivery term and exclusions.
Production outputA run using the actual curd cups and packaging, with accepted packs recorded.Good packs over usable run time; record rejects, replenishment and stops.
Product and format adaptationThe agreed product path, packaging tooling, change parts and cleaning access.Resolve the hardest sample condition in the product trial, not just the easiest demonstration.
Support and maintainabilityTraining, manuals, wear/spare parts, fault information and the support contact.Define response arrangements and practical local maintenance access.
Delivery and acceptanceA written build scope, layout/interfaces, trial protocol and delivery responsibilities.Record who supplies product/materials and what is needed before shipment and installation.

Use sample testing with your actual product and packaging to resolve dosing, handling and seal questions before fixing the equipment scope.

Frequently asked questions

Is a sealer-only machine enough?

If filling is already controlled and only lid closing is required, a sealer station may be sufficient. If cups also need automatic dosing or supply, quote the complete filling-and-sealing arrangement.

Does set curd use the same process as stirred yogurt?

Set curd is commonly filled and sealed before in-cup incubation and cooling. Stirred yogurt is fermented and mixed before packaging. Confirm the detailed sequence with the food-process team, then match the equipment interfaces.

Die-cut foil or roll-stock lids?

For die-cut lids, verify picking and position. For roll stock, verify feed, registration and cutting. In both cases, use the actual cup flange and lid material to establish the sealing window.

What changes curd cup packing machine price?

Sealer-only versus complete filling, product feed, cup handling, lidding, rows and cleaning requirements all affect price. Cup-system budgets should not be substituted with bottle filling-and-capping prices.

Send the samples that determine the configuration

Set or stirred process; dairy consistency, temperature and inclusions; cup/lid drawings and real samples; fill and headspace; seal/peel checks; good cups per shift; cleaning, incubation/cooling and discharge interfaces.

Include the required product-contact and cleaning specification, acceptable fill variation, seal or cap checks and any existing equipment interfaces. Send photographs, dimensions or samples of the complete package, not only a nominal pack volume.

Comwin uses these inputs to recommend the packaging route, dosing and handling arrangement, required interfaces and an itemized equipment offer. Where testing is needed, the trial plan should identify the product/materials, checks and acceptance criteria before the configuration is finalized.

Comwin offers free sample testing and factory visits. The confirmed warranty is two years for the complete machine and three years for core components, subject to the agreed terms. Remote support targets a response within 24 hours; resolution time depends on the fault and required action.
