Nuts Packing Machine: Cashew, Peanut and Prices

For regular peanut or cashew orders in film bags, start with a nuts packing machine that combines gentle feeding, weighing and vertical form-fill-seal packaging (VFFS). For branded zipper pouches, use weighing with premade-pouch handling. Short batches can use an operator-presented bag with a weighing and sealing station; compact cashew vacuum packs require a separate vacuum-handling decision.

For regular retail bags, a basic nut-weighing VFFS combination has an indicative budget of USD 12,000 to 35,000. Manual short-run filling, premade zipper pouches and vacuum trade packs have different equipment scopes and budgets below.

Comwin matches the bag, product-contact parts, weighing method and handling to your nuts and production requirements. Whole kernels, salted peanuts and mixed nuts need different checks before we recommend the configuration.

Choose the nut packing route for your finished pack

Weighing and VFFS for regular retail bags

A VFFS machine makes the bag from roll film, receives a measured portion and seals it. It suits repeating orders with a consistent bag format. The feeder and weigher must suit kernel size, oil or seasoning, while the filling path must leave space for a clean seal. Choose this route when the retail pack can be made from roll film and continuous bag formation serves your order pattern. See our vertical packing solutions.

Premade zipper pouches for cashew and mixed-nut ranges

A premade-pouch packing system opens an existing pouch, fills it and closes the factory top seal. This preserves the selected stand-up shape and zipper format. The consumer zipper does not replace that initial seal. Send filled pouch samples: a narrow opening can obstruct whole cashews even when the nominal bag weight appears suitable.

Operator-presented bags for varied short batches

A compatible weigher dispenses into a bag held or presented by an operator; a separate heat sealer closes it. This is a practical starting point for several nut recipes or bag designs in short runs. Time the complete cycle, including opening, moving and sealing each bag. If those steps limit good-bag output, we can add automatic bag handling.

Cashew vacuum packs for compact trade packaging

For short runs of compact cashew trade packs, start with weighing, manual bag loading and a chamber vacuum sealer matched to the filled bag. Support the bag and kernels during loading, then coordinate evacuation, sealing and air return. For repeat orders where loading limits output, compare automatic weighing, pouch handling and vacuum processing. Whole kernels need gentle transfers in either configuration because compression can increase contact forces. A loose gas-filled retail pouch is an alternative when the finished presentation must avoid a tight block.

Solve weight, damage and seal problems with the right configuration

Problem and causeRecommended equipment or configurationWhat to check
Variable net weight or mix composition as kernel sizes and material flow changeStable feed into the selected weigher; separate ingredient dosing where a mix ratio is specifiedMeasure net weight and each ingredient proportion separately. Total weight alone cannot verify the recipe.
More broken cashews after drops or vacuum compressionGentle weighing and filling paths; adjust the selected vacuum and air-return cycleCompare representative incoming and packed kernels using the same breakage method.
Oil, salt or fragments trapped in a peanut sealMatched film and heat-sealing system, controlled end of filling, access for bag-mouth cleaningCheck filled-bag seals during extended running and after handling, including contamination buildup.
Peanut or seasoning residue remains during a recipe changeAccessible contact parts, removable hoppers where appropriate, and an agreed cleaning procedureTime the change and confirm your cross-contact control. Stainless steel construction alone does not demonstrate effective cleaning.

Four nut-packing scenarios with weighing, VFFS, premade pouch handling and chamber vacuum closing
Short batches, continuous film bags, premade pouches and vacuum blocks require different handling. Representative equipment; illustration.

For a hypothetical 200 g peanut order requiring 30 good bags per minute, the product flow is 0.2 kg × 30 × 60 = 360 kg per hour. This calculation describes the required product flow; actual machine output needs a sample run. We use it to check replenishment and weighing; cleaning, bag changes and collection still affect shift output.

For a mixed-nut pouch with a specified cashew proportion, an ordinary total-weight result cannot show whether the recipe is correct. We first define the accepted component proportions, then decide whether controlled premixing is sufficient or whether separate dosing is needed. The examples use assumed order requirements.

Nut and peanut packing machine prices by equipment scope

Use these indicative budgets for new China-export equipment, ordinary non-aseptic food packing, one product and one selected pack specification. They are preliminary equipment allowances, not formal quotations. Freight, tax, overseas installation, upstream processing, building work and additional formats are excluded. The quoted scope will identify any extra gas supply, inspection or downstream equipment.

Equipment scopeIndicative budget, USDIncluded starting scopeItems priced separately
Operator-presented weigh filling and sealing5,000 to 15,000Basic compatible weigher and independent heat sealer for one retail bagAutomatic bag supply, recipe dosing, inspection and vacuum

Premade-pouch handling with weighing20,000 to 50,000One heat-sealable pouch, basic feed and weighingVacuum, extra zipper-handling features, dedicated mix dosing and inspection
Vacuum sealing unit alone3,000 to 15,000Suitable selected vacuum-sealing equipment; chamber or external evacuation type confirmed separatelyWeigh filling, automatic bag supply, gas supply and downstream handling
Automatic weighing, premade-pouch handling and vacuum sealing35,000 to 90,000One selected nut bag, pouch handling, weighing, vacuum sealing and basic conveyingMultiple-chamber high-output layouts, complex gas backfill, inspection and case packing

The vacuum-sealer budget covers closure equipment, so it cannot be compared directly with a complete automatic cashew packing machine. Similarly, a VFFS combination should be priced with its chosen weigher and feed arrangement. Send the product and bag details listed below so we can identify the actual supply scope.

For the 5 kg trade-pack example, specify the filled length, width and depth before selecting the chamber or automatic pouch station. The USD 3,000 to 15,000 reference is for the vacuum unit alone; weighing and loading are separate. The USD 35,000 to 90,000 automatic-combination range is a different scope, with suitability for the actual 5 kg bag to be established in the proposal. Quote one complete configuration, including the selected handling, rather than adding alternative vacuum systems together.

How much nut packing automation is useful?

DecisionOperator-presented setupAutomatic bagging combination
Production modeVaried short batches with manual bag changesRepeated orders with a defined roll-film or premade-pouch format
Labor scopeOperator opens, presents, moves and seals bags; replenishment and collection are separate tasksMachine forms or presents bags and fills and closes them; replenishment and collection remain in the agreed layout
Changeover and cleaningAdjust portion and sealing settings; inspect contact parts after recipe changesChange relevant forming or gripping parts and recipes; record access, residual material and actual cleaning time
AcceptanceGood bags per shift with the agreed operator steps, net weight and seal resultsSustained good-bag output with actual nuts and film, damage checks, stops and restarts

For kaju, or cashew, packaging, add automation where the measured cycle shows a delay. Faster bag handling will not correct a sticking feed hopper or a mix-ratio problem. We review these separately before increasing the line scope.

When packed nuts also need transport case handling

If loading sealed bags into transport cartons restricts output, we can coordinate counting or grouping, case loading and carton closure with the packing process. Confirm the number and orientation of bags per corrugated case, the allowable compression and how cases leave the station. This optional handling follows the completed primary pack and is outside the nut-machine budgets above. See bagged-product packaging lines.

For an optional automatic case packer, the equipment-family budget reference is USD 25,000 to 80,000. Specify the finished bags and case pattern before quoting. Primary weighing and sealing are excluded; case erecting, case closing and palletizing are separate unless expressly included. The general budget exclusions also apply.

Nut packing questions

Should I vacuum pack nuts or use nitrogen?

If you need a compact trade pack, evaluate vacuum with the real kernels and filled bag, including breakage. If you need a loose retail pack, evaluate compatible gas flushing, film and sealing. Set residual-oxygen and storage checks for your product; neither route establishes a fixed shelf life by itself.

Can the same machine pack whole cashews and peanuts?

If both products fit the selected feed, weighing and bag-opening arrangement, a shared configuration may be suitable. Test both products and define recipe changes, contact parts and cleaning. A common nut category does not establish compatibility.

Does a peanut sealing machine include weighing?

If the offer is for a sealer, specify the weighing and filling separately. For a combined peanut packaging machine, check the included functions before adding equipment prices together.

What should a small nut packing operation start with?

For short batches with changing bags, start by evaluating operator-presented weigh filling and sealing. If the complete manual cycle cannot reach the required good-bag output, compare automatic pouch handling or VFFS using your actual order pattern.
